Dad Rasmussen's 60th--PARK CITY!

We celebrated in style this year for Matt's dads 60th birthday. The entire Rasmussen clan and families came down and we spent 3 days in a huge vacation home in Park City. It was seriously awesome. If you don't count the fact that Nolan refused to sleep at night, I would say it felt pretty perfect :) The girls shopped at the outlets, we played games, ate tons of food, swam in the hot tub (LOL), and hiked some. It was a great time.

Here is our view from 2nd floor balcony.
Brooklyn, Reagan, Whitney and Avery. Reagan is still talking about her cousins!
Some shots of the interior. It was massive.

One morning grandma and grandpa took the kids on a hike.

Reagan, Lindsey and baby boy Conover.
Exterior shot of the home and surrounding hills. Very peaceful and quiet!
One night we played Minute to Win It, just like the show. Here is Amy showing off her mad cup stacking skills.
Aaron and Lori trying to balance 3 golf balls. These games are harder than they look!
There was a nearby lake with canoeing and fishing. Grandma, Brielle and Reagan

Reagan and dad trying to handle the *rather large* fish.
Jeff and Nolan
Matt and I heading out on the canoe.
Selly, baby Hailey and Reagan
So the pool didn't work out and the kids wanted to swim, so the hot tub was turned down a few notches and the kids swam!
SUCH a good time! We miss family so much right now and can't wait till the holidays!

Random photos

This is what our front entry way looked like when we moved in. I will spare you the in between where Matt hammered out the blue tile and we were left with glue and grout. Yuck.

BEFORE (including a complimentary glimpse of our blue carpet and gorgeous flowered wallpaper):
AFTER (still not 100% complete, but a definitely improvement):
HELP with this room please. How in the world do I lay it out? We have that huge window, a sliding glass door to the left. It's the first room you see when you walk in. There is a couch, chair with ottoman, bookcase that needs to go in here. And some kids toys if they make sense. But the layout? I just don't know how to go about doing it.
Beadboard is still going up. We have everything, just lack the motivation to get ahold of another huge saw and hack away at it. Some day :)
This room is almost done, will be the first fully complete room hopefully by the end of the week. I will post some final pictures when it is done.

This happens often when I shower. I don't know where he is getting the Sharpies, but its happened twice in the last couple of weeks.Grandma and Grandpa Rasmussen sent Reagan and Nolan a table and chairs for their birthdays. The love it! This was the first time using it, when friends were over!
Seriously random picture: LINDSEY holding a 100 oz mug. I can't believe that people actually drink that much soda. My stomach hurts looking at it. Isn't Maverick great?

Boating at Pineview

One of our days in Utah was spent boating at Pineview Reservoir with almost all my family. My uncle has a new boat and was kind enough to take us. The reservoir is really kind of gross, but the boating part is way fun. Reagan and Lindsey Gram and the kids. Nolan was all homey-ish in his shorts.

Lindsey and Loni getting on the tubes with our cousin Ren.
My uncle Shad who drove the boat.
Reagan rode the boat and it put her to sleep. Oh and she actually rode the tube with Matt!!! Miracle? YES!! A photo? NO!!! I was way off on that one. I didn't bring my camera with my on the boat for that. But we went slow, she asked to get off after a while and just played on the shore.
Lindsey showing us all up on the wakeboard.
Lance doing pretty dang good and showing some leg as well.
Me on shore with the bubs.

Independence Day

We were lucky to be able to spend this 4th of July in Utah with family. It is easily my favorite holiday to be there. I love that there is a parade, carnivals, pancake breakfasts, etc. This year was especially nice because we got to see every single person from our families. They came from Texas, New Mexico, LA, Bakersfield, and of course us from Norcal. What a treat. I really hate it when my pictures post to the side.

The night before the 4th my parents held their long-running tradition of the sleepover. My grandma Roundy did this growing up and I have many fun memories of it. I am glad my kids got to experience it this year. Because of the young age of the kids, they slept in a tent in my parents basement instead of outside in the yard like usual. We had a delicious breakfast in the morning and Landen introduced us to his third child. Notice I said Landen's third child, not his and Caitlin's third. Here is Reagan driving said Third Child. It really was a cool car, some of the neighborhood kids came out to see what all the ruckus was and ended up staying like they were Roundy grandchildren, too. See that boy on the right? Yeah, I have NO idea who he is.

We headed down to the Kaysville parade shortly after and the Laser's let us crash on their front yard. Katie's mom had homemade root beer and everything. The parade was overrated as usual, but hey, its tradition I guess. And the kids ate TONS of candy.

Now here comes the fun part. After the parade we headed back to Loren and Kelly's house for a bbq and huge inflatable waterslide. Talk about fun. Let's just say we are lucky there wasn't a weight limit for this thing.

Lotoja headed down the slide. I really hate that my pictures posted to the side. All 100 pounds of Roland hitting the end.

Dallas, my soon to be brother in law, bouncing down the slide. We all tried to catch some air. No pics of it, but it got REALLY fun when someone brought out the inner tubes!

Autumn

FBI doing his thang.

Matt pulling a Tony Hawk.

Reagan went down with me at the very beginning, but she face planted right in the puddle of water at the end and that was the last of that. She was content the rest of the day sticking her bum in the sprinkler.

I wouldn't mind a trampoline someday, but maybe one with those tall walls?

My sweet boy and his faces.

Playing croquet with dad.

It was such a great fun day. We ended with a fire pit and Kaysville fireworks and this photo of Landen looking seriously weird. I just wanted to include it. Happy 4th dear friends!
