10. She enjoys trying to climb up on the kitchen trash can.
9. She will eat anything off the floor. She is only 10 months and already she has eaten leaves, lint, my hair, and dirt.
8. She will pull up to stand in the bathtub. Multiple times per bath. Never turn your back on that, I have learned.
7. The computer chair in our room is rather fascinating. That surprises me. It swivlels, unfortunately.
6. She likes to throw on the floor a plaster of paris mold of Christ that is in our book shelf. I guess I better move that.
5. She is a pretty fast crawler, end of story.
4. She has become fascinated with toilet paper and realizes that if she pulls on it, it will unravel. I can already smell disaster there. **Note to self: always keep that door closed.
3. She insists on helping me load/unload the dishwasher. Her version is to grab hold of the bottom shelf and slam it back and forth as hard as she can.
2. She likes to slither off couches, beds, anything that is above ground. I don't think she realizes that falling will hurt!
...and the #1 reason not to turn your back is...
Her shoe fetish! Matt and I both agree on this one. She loves the shoe rack in our front entry. She plays with laces, picks the shoe up and throws it, and best of all, will munch on it (I usually grab her before this one, no worries!)
There you have it, folks. I am on my way to watch a 1/2 hour of Dancing with the Stars, then a Food Network special on San Juan, Puerto Rico.

A Lunch from Heaven
Matt and I enjoyed a 'dish' of heaven this weekend. We spent Saturday in Solano County at the Vacaville outlet mall and had a blast shopping. Despite having mega allergy attacks, we got some great deals and the weather was warm (89 degrees, folks!) However, the highlight of the day had nothing to do with shopping at the outlets. We had lunch at Johnny Carinos in Fairfield. This is a chain restaurant, similar to Olive Garden or Macaroni Grill. My co-workers got me hooked and I, in turn, got Matt hooked. We love the warm bread and garlic/olive oil that they bring out first. They have the absolute best pasta dish ever. It is the Chicken Penne Gorgonzola. If I were the Edwards family, I would have taken a photo, but this dish is not much to look at. It is just a plain pasta. It is the taste that is out of this world. To add to the yummy lunch, Reagan slept in her carseat the entire time. Matt and I just kept looking at each other throughout the meal and saying 'yummm' while stuffing our faces. It tasted good, no stomach aches :)... and that is why we love Johnny's.

Bros before Hos
Sorry, I had to use that line for the blog title (per Michael Scott, of course).
My bro Landen and his wife Caitlin and daughter Emma were in town this last week and we got to hang out with Landen and Emma for a couple of days. Reagan had a blast schmoozing with her cousin, except for when she would scream in Emma's face and make her cry.

Getting into things
My little gal has has reached a new stage. The world is now her playground. She LOVES to get into things! Her favorites: the dishwasher (slamming it shut), our TV stand that holds DVDs, and her favorite of the favorites: the shoes. There is something very fascinating about them, I guess. If she spots them across the room, she is over there is like 3 seconds flat, no joke. They must smell like food or something. Usually, I can tell when she has gotten into them because she gets very quiet. The little devil ;)...
She is standing really well these days. Matt and I have noticed the muscles building in her calves. Its really cool.
She likes to throw them down (hence my sneaker on the floor).
She is still squinting at the camera. It is like Pavlov's bell ringing/dog salivating experiment: I get the camera out, aim it, and she squints! No flash even needed.

It was Sanjaya
So Sanjaya went home. Can you believe Blake was in the bottom 3? Yikes! His performance wasn't stellar, but he is one of the HEAVY favorites. And wow, Martina's performance was amazing. I don't even know of any country stations out here, so I am not up with the new country music. I had no idea she had a new album out. Her song blew me away. She sang 'Anyway' and the words were really gorgeous. She just has amazing songs. You can tell they really come from her heart.

American Idol-who's going home????
This will be quick because AI results show comes on in 15 minutes. But I LOVED this week. Why?? Because Martina McBride was the guest artist on the show and she is also performing tonight. She is my all-time favorite country singer, probably one of my favorite artists. I thought some people were awesome, others totally bombed. My thoughts as follows:
Phil-has has always been low on my favorites list. Now I know why--he doesn't sing anything well but country. He has totally found his niche. I was thinking this the whole time he sang, he looked so natural up there and his voice sounded great. The judges said exactly what I was thinking. I don't think he will go home tonight. And I think he should stick with country.
Jordin-the best performance of the night and one of my favorites of the whole season. She has an amazing voice, the best of all the girls. She is only 17, too! She sang A Broken Wing by Martina and it gave me chills. She sings with emotion, she looks really pretty and has the voice to back it up. I think she will be in the final 2.
Lakisha-didn't like her this week. Not much else to say. She really kind of bores me actually.
Chris-he bores me as well. His voice did sound nasally this week and it wasn't a good thing, despite what he thinks. I think he is going home.
Sanjaya-yikes! Bad song, bad hairdo. But honestly, at this point, I really feel for the guy. I heard that he was at a baseball game recently and they showed him on the big screen and everyone booed! How sad is that???!! He is only a kid, for crying out loud. This will scar him for life. I wish he would get voted off, but everyone in America knows it won't happen.
Melinda-love her and I am SO GLAD that Simon told her to drop the surprised act. Wasn't it nice when she smiled and said "thank you" to the compliments? Much better. Her performance was amazing. I like when she sings the fast songs, it really brings out her personality. I think she will be in the top 3.
Blake-I love his style. I really don't like him as a country singer. I picture him as more of a alternative/pop singer, with his beat boxing and all. So last night didn't do much for me, but as usual he has an amazing voice and manages to not be at all annoying when he sings. He is a natural performer, in my opinion and the most original in the group. He'll be in the final.
So there you have it. I am on my way to the tv right now to see the results show. My prediction is Chris, but each season has a surprise vote off, so maybe this is the night???

Dancing with the Stars
Okay, so this last week was pretty cool. Samba is my favorite dance.
Ian & Cheryl-my own personal favorite. His name is oddly prononced "Eye-an", by the way. I think she is the best professional in the competition. He isn't the best celebrity dancer, but he looks like my brother, so he has my vote. I think the judges have something against him. Or maybe they are trying not to let Cheryl be a three-time champion. Either way, they really tear him up and nit-pick when he really comes out and dances well.
Joey & Kim-he is the best in the competition...but come one-he was in a boy band! Of course he knows how to dance. Rumor has it he has lost over 20 lbs since they started this competition. That is pretty cool. Anyways, he will be in the final for sure. He has a good partner as well.
Heather & Jonathon-my least favorite. I wanted them to get voted off yesterday. Its nice and all that she is out there with an artificial leg, but I think she wouldn't dance well with two real legs. There is something about her that bothers me. Matt agrees, so I know it isn't just me.
Apolo & Julianne-They are my second favorite. I like the fact that he is a hard working Olympic champion and he truly can dance! Julianne hails from Utah and she is a real cutie, IMO. I truly loved their samba this week. A perfect 30, first of the season.
Clyde & Elena-they were voted off last night. I think he was a little relieved. Carrie Ann (one of the judges) told him on Monday that he was the worst in the competition. I thought that was really harsh. This isn't American Idol, where contestants think they really are the best. These are people who have (supposedly) never danced before and are learning and doing their best. Her comment was totally uncalled for. I think many people agreed with me. Clyde let them know as well:)
Billy Ray & Karina-this couple interests me the most. Not necessarily the dancing, but the strange relationship (or lack thereof) that they have. He is a country boy, straight from hicks-ville (think "Achy Breaky Heart"). She is a world champ latin dancer who was paired with the heavy favorite Mario Lopez last season and took second. They do not mesh well and boy does it show!!!!!!! He really tries, though. You can tell she wouldn't mind getting voted off.
Maks & Laila-- I missed this couple

Summer of Weddings
With my little sister and my bud Jenn getting married this June, weddings have been on the brain. It is really exciting. It seems every day, I am either picking up a bridesmaid dress or skirt, checking out a wedding cake online, etc. With Jenn getting married in San Diego and Lindsey taking her honeymoon to San Diego, it has made me reminisce a little about when Matt and I got married in (where else?) SD almost 4 1/2 years ago!! Whew--time flies.
Here we are at La Jolla Cove on our day.
Our honeymoon was spent three days in San Diego, two in Newport Beach, and an overnighter in Vegas on our way back to school. We went to Disneyland while in Newport and waited in line, with all the other 8 year olds, to have our pic taken at the famous sword and stone. I wish I had the photo of Matt sitting in Dumbo, but it unfortunately wasn't one we chose to scan back then ;)

Safety Training in The Office
Tonight was Safety training day in the Office. Some very funny moments:
1. All the betting in the office...Creed and the potato, Kelly's netflix explanation, and of course the jelly beans (nice sort-of JAM moment).
2. Michael laughing while he explained kicking the ladder out from under Darryl.
3. Creed peeing in the bushes...he is kind of a disturbing character, but his randomness adds to the hilariousness. We've all met someone out of sorts like him, right?
4. Loved how it was free from tension and drama. Simple humor, like that found in season 2.
Umm...I also think that Michael needs to tone down the stupidity a little bit. He seems over the top sometimes, and contemplating jumping off a roof is really too much. Am I wrong? Does anyone agree?
But, hey, it is The Office. I expect a lot, but really, it will never disappoint me ;)
REAL QUICK:
American Idol-Legs, I mean Haley, is gone. I think she knew even before they announced her name. I am really warming up to Jordin and of course, still like Blake.
Dancing with the Stars-Joey was awesome and I still am rooting for Ian and Cheryl...I love her and Ian looks like my bro Lance.

Easter Weekend
We had a really fun weekend. Yesterday we had dinner with some friends in our ward and it was delicious (and ham-free!) We had chicken and beef kabobs, cheesy potatoes, spinach salad, rolls, veggies, and cinnamon apple pie and Easter cupcakes for dessert. It was pretty yum.
The Easter bunny paid a visit, bringing Matt and Reagan baskets of goodies. He continued our tradition of hiding them. Since Reagan has no concept of hide and seek yet, bunny left a trail of cereal for her to follow to her hidden basket!
Yea! Easter Bunny bought her some baby-friendly treats, plus some new bath toys that squirt water!
Easter bunny didn't want Matt to feel shafted, so he left a trail of Robin Eggs to Matt's basket.
Reagan was happy to help dad follow the trail.
Score! Matt got all his favorites--Snickers eggs, gummy candy, and coconut creme eggs. Plus a hollowed out NBA chocolate egg basketball. 
Last thursday, we had a little Easter Egg hunt for some of the kids. It was really cute--the first egg hunt for a couple of the little ones. Reagan enjoyed everyone else's eggs except her own.
Do you like her basket? It has "Matthew" stitched in the back. Thank you Grandma Rasmussen!

Negotiations
I thought last nights episode was LOL funny. My favorite parts:
1. Michael wearing a womens suit, claiming it was a bisexual suit. How hilarious when he stuck his butt out at Pam?? And Phyllis playing with the shoulder pads--so funny! I actually saw this clip before the episode even aired and had to watch it again and again, I loved it.
2. Angela and Dwight, making out
3. Dwight's talking head, when he is blinking from having pepper spray in his eyes. So funny!
4. Michael's wikipedia discovery (see quote of the week)
There were plenty more as well, but here are a few observations I had as well, good and bad:
1. Jim looks tired. I am not sure if that is what his character is supposed to look like right now or if the guy who plays Jim is just plain tired from acting. But he is clearly wearing a wig in this episode and the bags under his eyes are noticeable. He isn't his usual perky self. This could also be the fact that he is dating a girl he really wants to like, but doesn't and the girl he does like, he doesn't trust. Relationship woes...I am so glad I am married and done with that!
2. Toby gets treated like dirt in every episode, especially by Michael. Does this guy not have a backbone? Honestly. I think he has a lot of pent up anger and one of these up coming episodes, he may just explode. Oh yeah, and is he still crushing on Pam?
3. Darryl is one of the funniest background characters on this show and he clearly deserves more air time. I laughed so hard at him yesterday.
4. Karen is turning into a bad girlfriend. Her comment for Jim to get out and sell paper so they could go on a trip was really awful. She seems like a headstrong woman and is clearly fed up with the love quadrangle, but its no excuse to say that. I think this is the beginning of the end of Jaren (or Kim). I think she is going to be offered a job at corporate in the season finale, which is titled The Job.
I still stick with my prediction that the season finale will be Pam confessing her love for Jim, much like he did with last season. All the episodes will lead up to that, with Pam becoming more self confident and speaking her mind. Something "big" will happen with Michael and Jan...that has been confirmed by the mouths of the actors themselves. I cannot wait to find out!

Milestones
Reagan has started reaching a few milestones. As evident in these photos, she can stand holding onto something and is starting to pull to stand all by herself. Exciting, huh? I thought so at first, but now she would rather pull up in her crib and move around than sleep in it. It's been a few rough days, but last night was a bit better. 
This is funny: she notices that on our camera before it flashes, the light blinks. So once she sees that light, she is already squinting her eyes. I laughed for a while when I saw these. I made veggie pizza last night and she loved it! It was messy, but that is okay!

AI & DWTS
I am becoming more of a fan of these shows each week as they weed out the so-so's and leave the good ones behind. First off, I am a huge fan of Ian Ziering after this Monday's performance. He stepped it up on his jive, for sure! His pro partner is also my favorite gal on the entire show. She makes the dancing look like so much fun and has an ease with it. Plus she flips her hair around really cool. Ian also looks like my brother Lance, so that makes me a fan of his as well. Last season, I was all for Joey Lawrence and I think it was because, in addition to his great dancing, he looked like my brother Loren. I'm beginning to see a pattern...
The beauty queen got voted off. Like I say, just weeding out the so-so's.

I already chatted with Laura about this this morning on our walk, but Melinda needs to do away with some of her mannerisms. Lacy's best joke to date
I got to give credit to Lacy. I play jokes on her all the time but this time she got me pretty good. Sunday she came over to me and told me that she needed to talk to me about something and she had a really serious look on her face. She told me that I had to promise not to get mad, which seemed pretty odd since I don't get mad very often unless I'm losing at video games or can't get my balance sheet to balance. She then asked if I remembered how her back was hurting and informed me that she had just taken a pregnacy test and that it was positive. I immediately thought of how she had asked Melanie earlier in the day if the second delivery was easier. Lacy was expecting me to get mad but I just sat there with a stunned look as my heart skipped a few beats. Fortunately she didn't keep me going to long. In a few months I think that I'll tell her that I'm pregnant and see if she falls for it.
