The last day of school was a party at Woodside! The kids had a field day and had pizza, popsicles, snow cones and cotton candy. It was a junk fest, that is for sure!
Reagan with her teacher Ms. Vaticano. She was fantastic. Many of you already know that at the beginning of the year, Reagan's original teacher, Mrs. Cattarusa, was diagnosed with cancer. She underwent surgery in November, then spent the entire year doing chemotherapy and radiation treatments. She kept in close touch with the kids and even visited on a couple of occasions. Miss V. stepped in and took over and it was a flawless transition for these 1st graders. I am so grateful for the amazing teachers that take the time each day to be there for my kids.
Best news: Mrs. Cattarusa has beat cancer and will return to teach at Woodside next year!
Our neighbors across the street are always giving the kids little gifts and such. They remembered Reagan's birthday and gifted her with a real mini tea set. The kids have "tea" parties with water and crackers. It is cute, they do it all on their own. Lay out the blanket and set it all up.
