Clayton Kids Triathlon

My friend Marisa invited us to participate in a kids triathlon in Clayton.  They have several endurance athletes in their ward and they put on triathlons for adults every year and this year, for the kids!  It was held Labor Day weekend and followed up with a bbq.  It was a blast.  The families that hosted and put it together are amazing and generous and I thank Marisa for thinking of us!!

Reagan and Katie getting ready to swim, bike, run!
There were several heats and lots of kids, so here is Ellis, Katie and Reagan waiting their turn.
The swimming portion was done in an indoor pool, which is v. cool.

Dried off and hopping onto the bikes!
 They are off!
 On their way back!

 Onto the running portion!
Finished!  They received medals--real, actual medals.

For the kids 4 and under, they had a race in the backyard.  This is total up Nolan's alley since he spends about 8 hours a day running around.  He also received a medal!
 My boys!!

I am not sure of the distances, but it was obvs not the true distances for a triathlon :)  Just kid distances, but still a very difficult workout for them.  It was fun to see old friends and make some new ones.

The one where Miles grows and grows...

(Why yes, that is Miles sitting on top of the dresser and kitchen island....Safety first!)
This little guy is truly one of the happiest babes I have ever seen.  He still loves being held and needs a face close by to look at.  He loves, loves LOVES his older bro and sis.  He could watch them all day.  His sleeping habits aren't as good as they used to be.  He slept through the night from about 8 weeks until around 14 weeks.  Then he slowly stopped.  He sometimes sucks his fingers, sometimes sucks his thumb, sometimes takes a binky, sometimes sucks his blanky.  He is always evolving and changing.  He takes 3 naps a day and is in bed for the night at 7pm (now if only the other 2 could do the same ;)).  He turns 4 months in a couple of weeks and love the addition he is in our family.  He was well worth the wait :):)

The ends of summer

Reagan was able to see one of her bestest besties be baptized this summer.  I got all nostalgic as I uploaded the pics from Addie's baptism and found a few more of them through the years.  And I have tons more, but not the time tonight to search for them.
These two have been together since Reagan was born, as evidence in the photo below, circa October 2006.

Even though they are at different schools and in different wards now, the fun times still continue.
Gosh, what a blast it has been for these two.  It was such a special treat for Reagan to be a part of Addie's special day!
What felt like a bit of a rare moment with Reagan and Nolan getting along this summer (really they did fight a lot!)

Nolan deciding in August what he wanted to be for Halloween!  His obsession with all things Avengers has trumped Thomas and Lightning.

A fun day at Lafayette Reservoir for these kids.  A bike ride around the lake and a stop at the playground before heading home.
Photo op of my three youngest loves.

Reagan went through a face painting phase for about a week and she painted Nolan every.single.day during this phase.  It was....messy.  But cute and fun and he LOVED it!  And I actually think she is a pretty darn talented artist.

Summer Running Club, our third year in a row.  Fun, fun!  Reagan finished around 27 miles and Nolan finished around 19 miles.  They worked hard!
Keeping an eye on Miles while mom runs on the treadmill, lol.

And that is it, folks, bring on FALL!!!
