Camping

On Friday night, we went camping up on Mt. Diablo. It had been forever since we had been camping, so I truly forgot what an experience it was. We borrowed a pretty cool tent from a family in our ward as well as some sleeping bags from another family. The tent was an 8-man and had ample room for a pack-n-play for Reagan. Sleeping-wise, things worked out very well. The camp site had this red-cake-like dirt that got everywhere! The good thing is Reagan doesn't walk yet, so she didn't have the opportunity to roll around in the dirt like most the other kids. However, the bad thing is that we had to carry her around everywhere! And my child is really heavy...like, solid heavy. We had some great views of the Bay area, as evident in the photos below. San Francisco is famous for its fog and here is what it looks like from above, looking down. This was at sunset and the fog was just rolling in like waves. My photos don't really do it justice, but for some rather amazing ones of the same view, click here for the Walker family photos.
We had tinfoil dinners. This photo is a shout-out to Cory and Kristen Edwards, who are pretty much world-famous for their food photos. I learned that Cory is a Food Network-junkie like myself. Nice, huh???!!!
Some more photos of the sunset. We all enjoyed it!

It was a good, albeit short, time! The weather was nice, the bathrooms were rather close, and we even had running water spouts close by. And Reagan turned out to enjoy the camping, I think. She slept pretty well, going to bed kinda late and getting up really early. Thanks to the Walker, Edwards, and Berrett families for a good time and good food.
