I can't wait

Dear Grandma and Grandpa,

Every day I pester my mom and dad about how I want to go to Grandma's house. It is almost time. Mom bought me a hat and mittens to wear to your house. I like wearing them. Now I won't be so cold.

I love you and can't wait to see you!

Kisses,
Reagan

Pixieland Amusement Park

This is Reagan's Disneyland, Concord-style. Kind of pricey, but she loves the rides. My heart swelled with pride when she rode the Dragon Rollercoaster with dad this last Saturday! That is right, she rode a rollercoaster! I have never been on it, but Matt, who has been on some collosal rides, claims it wasn't exactly the joy ride he expected. It went rather fast! And she held on, but after three turns, she was more than ready for it to be over! She barely made the height requirement. In this below photo, you can't even really see her, but she is tucked under Matt's arm if you looks closely.

Next up: Six Flags Magic Mountain! Ha, just kidding. I will give her another two or three years before we hit that!
Feeding the ducks at the pond. There was a duck that looked just like Kramer from Seinfeld with his hair and all. I didn't get a photo.

We couldn't leave without our ride on the train. She is still obsessed with trains.

Garbage Truck

Twice a week the garbage truck comes to take our trash. Reagan is obsessed with watching it and we hear loud and clear (repeat: VERY loud) when it arrives. She goes and gets her yellow little tyke chairs and watches him. He actually gets out of the truck, opens the gate, rolls the bin out and then it hooks onto the truck and lifts and dumps. To Reagan, most loud trucks constitute a garbage truck! She sure looked cute this morning when she ran out and watched it. A couple of times the garbage guy has noticed her and given a little wave. She gets a kick out of that. It is hard to see (thanks to our 70-80 degree weather, heck yeah baby) but the white part of the photo towards the top is the truck.
Oh, she just looked so pretty while posing for this picture. In fact, just before her nap today, in an effort to get her nice and drowsy, I put on Mickey's Christmas (thanks, Mel) for her and we laid on the couch together. I just sat there and watched her profile. She would smile when the characters would, her mouth would form a little "O" of surprise when they would fall or cry or yell. I sat there and watched her face for quite a while. She is such a pretty thing and I cannot get enough of her. Am I psycho sounding?? Maybe. I guess I am just in love with this little girl.

Miss Match

I know I mentioned before that Reagan likes to change her clothes and dress herself. Here is an example! As you can see, she doesn't know how to match clothes yet. A red plaid skirt with a pink and brown striped top. She also mixes up the seasons. She will come out in a pair of shorts and a sweater. Or the other day, she put on her swimsuit ;)
This last Sunday after church, we changed out of our dress clothes and Reagan wanted to put on an outfit that didn't match. I almost intercepted to get her to wear something matching, then I glanced down at my own outfit: red sweatpants with a white stripe and a bright purple and gray shirt. I let her wear exactly what she wanted after that!! She is my girl in so many ways...

Cuteness

This is Reagan laughing at herself this morning in the mirror. Playing on our bed. Lately she loves to "jump" and will find all sorts of furniture to do it on.
Reagan truly helped take this picture! She wanted to hold the camera and press the button, just a little help from mom was all.
Like father, like daughter.
For family, here is the belly at 29 weeks. I just didn't want you guys to be too shocked in two weeks when you saw the real thing.

In the name of Ring-Pops

Suckers are a great way to keep Reagan occupied, but I struggle with anxiety because she chews and chews on them till the stick breaks and then I get all worried about her choking. But then I gave her a ring pop a while back and my problem was solved!!! She LOVES these things and I don't have to worry about a flimsy stick. I had a small stash of them in our top cupboard. I didn't even know she knew I had them. But when I got out of the shower last week, she was sucking on one! I went into the kitchen and she had pulled the chair over, rummaged through my stuff, grabbed one and opened the wrapper. I didn't even know she knew how to open the wrappers!

I honestly was so proud of how smart she was that I happily let her have it. She earned it!

Yea for Matt!!!

This last week Matt was promoted to a Manager at work. We are pretty excited and I am very proud of him. He sure is a smarty-pants. I am glad he is good at crunching numbers and I am good at checking for metal in food--sorry inside joke ;)

The Night of Halloween...

...we went trick-or-treating. Present were a kitty-cat, Little Bo Peep and her sheep, Buzz, and Optimus Prime, just to name a few!
Reagan enjoyed trick-or-treating, but much like last year, just wanted to eat the candy that each house gave her. A lot of the kids had a similar idea as her (those close in age), so we ended up going slow as molasses and the 12 year old in me came out as my frustration grew at the ratio of candy in bag per time spent trick or treating. Oh well. One of these years it will click, and she will be running from house to house.
We hit our Bishop's house. This was especially delightful for Reagan. Their youngest daughter baby-sits her and Reagan just stared at her in the door way. She didn't get why we were at Shauna's house and not at ours.
We bobbed for apples later at the Edwards.
We also bobbed for donuts. (I am noticing every time I type "bobbed" I accidentally type "boob." Seriously.)
Matt ended up feeding Reagan her donut.
Then he fed himself one.

It was a really great night and despite the rain, we had lots of fun.

Apples and Pumpkins

Matt loves having caramel apples each year. This year we tried to decorate them. I cut up snickers bar, but struggled with that. The best one ended up being the one in the back row, middle which was simply rolled in peanuts. We ironically enjoyed eating these while watching The Biggest Loser. While carving pumpkins the night before Halloween, Reagan was a pure delight. She played in the messy insides of the pumpkins and really enjoyed that! She posed for all my pictures, showed me her hands, an I couldn't decide which photos to post, so I went with these three.

Lots of Tags!

I was tagged by Brooke, KT, and Caitlin and someone else...Jeff and Selly? Loni? I can't remember, but I am going to go ahead and do two of these tags! This is the picture tag, so I took the fourth photo in my fourth folder.

This photo is from the Fourth of July 2007 at our ward pancake breakfast. The firemen and a truck were also present to let the kids peek in and have a seat in the truck. Reagan was too young to really get it. She has changed so much! And wow, she really was a baldy. No wonder she always got called a boy. I never understood how people could think she was, but I guess comparing this photo to how she looks now...yeah, she could pass for one.
Crazy eight tags

EIGHT tv shows I like to watch:

1. The Office
2. The Biggest Loser
3. Iron Chef America (when they aren't doing some nasty fish with beady eyes)

EIGHT things that happened today:

1. I moved out to the couch about 1AM, as usual, because I woke up and couldn't go back to bed, I am too uncomfortable. The back of the couch is a nice support for my back.
2. I went to the bathroom about 3AM.
3. Woke up for good around 7:30 AM
4. Reagan ironically slept in until 8AM
5. Went on a walk with Addie, Josh and Laura
6. Went to music time
7. Had Addie over, but I got really mad at Reagan because she brought a couple fistfuls of sand into the house and threw it everywhere, so I understand if Addie is scared of me and doesn't want to come back.
8. Had a leftover taco for lunch and a dark chocolate and cashew truffle from Cherie.

Sacramento Reunion

It was my absolute pleasure to go to Sacramento this weekend and spend the day with my roommates from college and see so many old faces...and new ones! Rebecca married Cameron on Saturday and it was such a treat to be part of it. I got to attend their sealing in the Sacramento Temple and then we went to Apple Hill for a reception party at a vineyard. We stayed overnight in Sacramento before heading home the next day.

You may have already seen the video Matt posted of Reagan dancing at the reception. Here is the photos to support it. Laura, my old roommate, boogeying down with R.
Matt also did a little dancing and led me in an impromptu cha-cha/swing. NICE!!! Not that my dancing is all the great in general, but my current condition gives me two left feet, to put it mildly. Poor Matt finally gave up.
This little girl had her baby, so Reagan danced with hers. It was really cute!
Reagan made so many new friends! Her and Stephanie.
Me and my sweet roommates. We spent our first 2 years at BYU together before missions, marriages, etc. This is our first time with ALL FOUR of us getting together and its great to see how all of us have ended up. Stacy, Rebecca, me and Laura

Here is all of us with our hubbies (and without the bride and groom). Stacy and Ryan were married about 2 years ago in the exact sealing room as we were in that day for Rebecca and Cameron. Laura and Jason were married this summer in Washington.
I love this pic of Reagan and Jason. Jason was actually chatting with Reagan, but by the time I got my camera out, the moment was over.
LOVE this pic of bride and groom.
Some of the girls.
Lucky Reagan got to hold the brides flowers!
It was really warm that day and the fountain looked so inviting. I actually dipped my hand in and got some water out to splash on Reagan's face and head.
When we got home, this little guy was waiting for us on our front porch! Matt rescued him and took him out to the bushes.

Halloween Festivities

I have no clue why my photos are posting in reverse order. Oh well!

Halloween would not be a regular holiday without a few weeks of festivities ahead of time! Plus, I need my full money worth of Reagan wearing her costume:) We went to a haunted house and she saw Mickey and Minnie!! It wasn't really haunted, but this is the first time she has seen Disney characters dressed up by real people, so she was slightly intimidated.

We went and visited Aegis and the kids got to trick-or-treat to the residents. This was a really fun time and unfortunately I took this photo after a few had already left. I actually have some way cute photos of everyone else in their costumes, but I don't want to post them without permission from the moms. Some have private blogs.
